Message from the President, Federation of Malaysian Freight Forwarders (FMFF)
The Federation of Malaysian Freight Forwarders (FMFF) was registered in September 1987 as an association representing freight forwarders in the logistics industry. In 2000, the Ministry of Transport endorsed and recognized FMFF as a national association representing the Malaysian logistics industry.
With more than 1,000 members today, among some of FMFF’s objectives are to unify freight forwarders through the promotion of cooperation and understanding among members; protect and represent the interests of members at national and international levels; improve the quality and standards of services of members through information and data exchange, documentary simplification systems and organisational development and internationalisation; foster the growth and awareness of freight forwarding through appropriate publications and promotions; as well as foster and improve relations with shippers, carriers, governmental bodies and other related parties.
The logistics industry continues to play a vital role in contributing to Malaysia’s economic growth as an enabler of the nation’s trade-dependent and export-oriented economy. To this end, FMFF is committed to drive the logistics industry and elevate Malaysia’s status towards becoming a regional and international hub for logistics services.
I am pleased to pen a congratulatory message on the launch of the 2018/2019 edition of Malaysia Logistics Directory. FMFF is proud to endorse the Malaysia Logistics Directory and would like to urge industry players and the public to lend their support to this useful publication. Lastly, I would like to commend the team at Marshall Cavendish (M) Sdn Bhd for the great effort and wish for the continued success of this directory.
Mr. Alvin Chua
The President of Federation of Malaysian Freight Forwarders (FMFF)
